Viscose Jersey is an airy, fine knitted fabric and consists mainly of cellulose, i.e. wood fibers. These fibers are usually obtained from spruce or beech wood. In a complex wet-spinning process, they are then turned into viscose fibers, which are then refined, dyed and processed into yarn. This is then used to produce either woven fabric or, as in this case, knitted fabric. The addition of elastane makes viscose jersey elastic. The surface of the fabric is slightly shiny. It is very flowing, supple, breathable, highly absorbent and quick drying. Due to its special properties, it is light as a feather and pleasantly cool on the skin.
For this reason, viscose jersey can be very well processed into dresses, outerwear, underwear and even bed linen.
