Poplin cotton fabric spring flowers

Cotton poplin used to consist of silk and wool, the name referring to the composition of the fabric. Today, however, the name poplin refers to the finely ribbed structure of the firm fabric. Poplin can be made of linen, cotton, wool and synthetic fibers. Here our poplin is made of 100% cotton. A very fine yarn is used for production, where a fine dense warp is interwoven with a less dense weft thread. This type of production is also called plain weave, due to which the poplin cotton fabric is not stretchy. The fabric is very skin-friendly and the surface feels pleasantly smooth, almost supple, falls very easily and is soft to the touch. We recommend neatening it before washing.

Cotton poplin is a good beginner's fabric and a real all-rounder, which offers many uses, for example for outerwear, accessories and decoration. Since poplin is absolutely opaque, it is also suitable for blouses, summer dresses, skirts, shirts and summer pants, among other things.
