Sweat is a knitted fabric and is therefore similar to jersey in production. However, it is much heavier and stronger than jersey. Sweat is usually made of cotton and a small amount of elastane and is therefore particularly stable. It is not as stretchy as jersey, but does not lose its shape due to its elastane content and is always warm to the body. The back of the sweat is roughened. This means that its stitches are not as visible as in summer sweat, but it is nice and cuddly soft. This makes it perfect for processing sweaters, pants, hats, loops and especially children's clothing of any kind.
